I have a Gateway NV53 notebook. It will start and work fine. However it might take as many as 30 attempts before anything appears on the screen. The on light is light works but windows does not start only after many attempts. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thank You,

    Frank Tull

The first thing I would check/replace, is the cmos battery.
