Hi,
I purchased an mx6421 from bestbuy about a month ago. I didn't have the extra 400 bucks for the extended warrenty but they told me it had a year hardware warrenty from gateway. My right click button stopped working 3 days after i got it, and i waited till the end of my school semester to do anything about it. But now that the semester is over next week, i want to use my gateway warrenty for the repair, the only problem is i can't find the number to call gateway to use the warrenty. Does anyone know the number, or where i can go to get this fixed? thanks for all help.

Go to "My Computer", click "View System Information", and then "Support Information" and it will probably have the number there.

3 days? Doesn't matter if you didn't buy the extended plan you can still exchange it at best buy within like a week or something like that.

I believe he is saying that it broke within three days but that it was a while back.

Yeah it broke awhile back. I found the number on the bottom of my gateway. I was on hold for 8 seconds. The man on the other end said it was a common problem and sent me a box to mail it in for repair. The box was overnighted to me via DHL. I am very impressed with the awesome support. I thought they were going to bad after reading reviews, but they were actually very nice, very respectful, and very helpful.

I have had only positive experiences with Gateway. I've had BestBuy ship mine out a couple of times, it came back pretty quick every time. Bestbuy was my real disapointment. They scratched my LCD lid and I am confident that they dropped my computer once if not twice. I know that it was BestBuy who did it too. When they shipped it, I recieved a paper with condition containing "scratches on top of unit." There were no scratches when I sent it in.
