    Hello,

I have a T1616 Gateway laptop. I read somewhere that not all printers are compatible. Can anyone tell me which printers are compatible with the t1616 model. Thank you.

You do have 3 x USB 2.0 connection so its not your computer that not compatible. Any newer printer manufacture should give you driver/software disks and have USB.

New: Looking through website I found people having problems with Lexmark and your computer

Save yourself some trouble and buy a Canon printer of any sort... using them for many years and no problems what-so-ever.... and they always keep their software up to date

Thanks. Besides the Canon printer any other brand? For the T1616 specifically?

No printer is specifically built for a certain type of computer. What you really have to ask yourself is if the driver support is good.

"Most" printer companies work their hardest to make them compatible with 99% of computers so they dont get negitive press for being incompatible with X computers.

If you stick with the main printer suppliers you shouldnt have a problem. But you can always google the model printer you're looking at and your computer model number to find out if anyone on the web is having a problem with it.
