If I purchase the Best Buy model and have the store install a new processer, will I lose warrenty on my machine? Off topic, but does the 6 cell battery stick out the back of the laptop or if it does is it less than the 9 cell? (how much?)

I doubt Best Buy would upgrade the CPU for you and I wouldn't want them to either. Normally the regular battery doesn't stick out, but without knowing which model you are speaking of it's kind of hard to know.
