    Gateway laptop MT3707 screen went black

    MY Gateway laptop MT3707 screen went black. I can't hear the vista sounds loading either (i can hear though computer working). Please help. Is there anyway to save up my data at least?

    Have you tried plugging the laptop into an external monitor? If that doesn't show anything, you can take the hard drive out, and put it into a 2.5'' external hdd enclosure/adapter such as this one. Then take the data off it by connecting it to another computer. That is assuming the hdd isn't causing the issue.
