When I press the button to start my laptop, the blue light comes on the power button, I hear the fans start - then poof, it goes out. Nothing on the screen, no keyboard lights, nada. The fan and light are there for like 2 seconds, then poof! Just replaced the motherboard because I had a similar issue with this machine a few years back and had to replace the motherboard at that time. Unfortunately, the new motherboard makes no difference. Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone have an idea?
I've also checked the power cord voltage (two power cords) and the voltage reads a-okay.

Do you think your new motherboard may be bad? Check the memory too.
