I formatted my mx6025,but I had to do a upgrade to windows XP Pro as the machine wouldn't allow me to do a clean install. The "can't copy file" kept coming up on every file,I worked around this by doing a upgrade.
My HD went bad and I replaced it with a new one,had to install Win 98se first then did the upgrade.Gateway site was no help on many drivers,I even installed the online"updater"to get my serial # and see what updates I needed. No help really, I still had to search for several drivers(sound & modem,)
I still need the network driver,I do have the wireless,ANY HELP would be appreciated on the network driver,I uploaded the other drivers to Driverguide.com to help others with the same problems and listed them as Gateway mx6025 audio, video wireless, modem and card reader.
The other problem I'm having is that when I installed the card reader driver, the flash reader may work but the Secure Digital reader say's the card needs to be formatted when I know the card is good as I used it in other computers , card readers and camera.Does anyone know whats wrong,I'm tired of working on it and will never buy another Gateway.
    Thanks ...TXJMJ...
