    Gateway mx6027 no sound...please help

    Hello all, heres the scenario. I was given this laptop with Windows Vista on it with sound working properly but every so often a disk was needed to re-install Vista. After several times of doing that I took the laptop to a freind and he re-installed Windows XP on it. After getting it back I had no sound. I took it back to him but he was unable to fix the problem. If someone can I help me I'd really appreciate it. Thank You
