Was having issues with my laptop model MP6954
I used the 1 and only system recovery disc to get my system back to new.
It had 2 options, do a complete format/recovery or do a system recovery with data files backup.
Now the problem is this, it is at the bottom of gateways page here
    http://support.gateway.com/s/Manuals/Desktops/9532287.pdf

    Here is what it says:
Full System Restore (with Backup) moves the contents of the hard drive to the
C:\My Backup folder and installs a new copy of Windows XP. This option saves your
existing data files, but all programs must be reinstalled and the program settings
reconfigured. You need at least 4 GB of hard drive space to use this restore option

Now I see this backup file but can not access it to do anything.
If I go to backup in system tools it is looking for the bkf file which it didnt make. But I see all the files I want to restore in the backup program in system tools.
How in the world can I get the things back in my documents and stuff from this backup file this cd created.
I tried for 2 days and searched before coming here for help from anyone.
    I am lost.
