I downloaded and successfully installed Vista's audio driver from Gateway, but there are no sound. What's going on?

Try upping the volume. Sometimes, after a new driver is installed, the volume is low, zero, or mute.

I set the volume to 100% and I ensure that was the case with FN+Vol + and still there was no sound. The driver is installed correctly as indicated from device manager. What's going on here? This is driving me nuts.

Is there a possibility that I need to press a button on the keyboard to turn on the sound? I'm really puzzled by this. Everything seems to be installed correctly and yet I have no sound.
