This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Gateway's horrible service...

    I got a new computer from Gateway on September 5th... so I have quality to get a free Windows 7 from Gateway according to the Microsoft's announcement that anyone who bought computer until next year Janurary or Feberaury will receive a free Windows 7 upgrade.

    Now Windows 7 is out and some people I know who got new computer - told me that they got Windows 7 from Dell already.

    I had been waiting and waiting and sent many emails to them to know when Windows 7 will come... they never told me the specific date and only respond with pretty much of "please wait."

    When I checked my order status before it was "Estimated Ship Date: October 2009 onwards, or two weeks after your order is accepted, whichever is later." now October was changed to November...

    I love the new computer I gotten... it's great... but I shouldn't had bought from Gateway... they got absolutely a horrible service... I'm really fraustrate.

    Sigh... I posted this because it means I am very desperated with their service and right now I'm looking for any solutions. But looks like people are joking around other than helping me.

    Never mind this thread... I don't want to say this... but you people are uselss.
