So on Gateway's website at http://www.gateway.com/systems/series/529598006.php the specs show that these 4 models of their P-FX laptop (very similar to the P-FX offered in Bestbuy except buffer CPU, higher screen res, among other things) but I've scoured through as many pics as I could find but alas, there is absolutely no fingerprint scanner in sight.

Please don't tell me it's one of those USB fingerprint reader that you'd have to attach each time you want to use it. That's pretty pointless.

Those pictures are incorrect. I know some reviews of the P-171 FX from CES, etc. have pictures of the laptop with the fingerprint scanner. It exists between the two mouse buttons.

    No problem!
You'd think they'd want to have pictures showing all the features possible- but what would I know.
