That's really odd. I gained about 200-300 points when running on battery power...

I've only got 5697 the very most plugged or unplugged. I've been working on how to fix it and even returned it to BB but couldn't because of the 15% restocking fee. I've tweaked and upgraded my drivers already, did some hotfixes but still nothing. I'm so frustrated with this already. Am I missing something? Thanks.

I just scored 3950 on "POWER SAVER" with "BATTERY".

Make sure you guys double check above settings.

On "High Performance" on "A/C", you should get 6800~7000.

"BB geek optimized = same 3dMarks Out of box.."

That's what I figured too. No cost really, wanted to buy Crysis anyway so whatever little cleanup they did was free. They loaded the game too so their time wasted, not mine.

You are supposed to be on a/c power anytime you are gaming, the battery will not supply enough power to run a game smoothly, Sometimes I forget to plug in and the game is running slow and stuttering on battery power.

I'm curious, why give so much importance to battery power scores? Gaming on a laptop like this on battery power will 1.) give you 25-35% worse performance and 2.) only allow for a half hour to 45 minutes of battery life, if you're lucky.

I have the same power settings on battery that I do on AC. I am more of a performance over life kind of guy. I very rarely if ever go mobile with my personal machines.

Some of these scores you guys are getting seem a little low, I get 9k plus on an unoptimized vista install with a t7500 and 320gb scorpio as my only upgrades.

Also I know I have asked this a million times but could someone please send me the hotbutton drivers (the media button). commi(at)bulldoghome(dot)com thanks.

    Driver on your way. :)

*EDIT : QUI, I notice you are using 1280x800 as your resolution. Default is 1280x1024. Reset your 3DMark06 to default and try again? If you still get that score, you probably have fastest 8800m GTS here :)

I don't have access to my monitor at home so it was run on the laptops screen, so it wont support higher than 900 vertical res. Thanks for the drivers by the way.

Hey Snowsurfer, I see that you scored a 9810 on 3dmark06 with almost the same specs I have. I ran it today and got 8897 with 64bit vista (not bad) that I just installed. HERE's THE WEIRD THING: I ran 3dmark06 a few days ago with the 32bit ultimate and got 9994??? Is 64 bit slower or did I do something wrong installing the drivers??? I'm currently using the windows update drivers. I wouldn't have installed 64bit having known it was going to be slower... I'm a newb on this forum but I've been reading so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance...
