Ok so I've bought this laptop last year and it has running just fine till recently, all of the sudden left side fan isn't blowing air as fast as it was (back then it was screaming while I played BF:BC2) so here is what happens everyday.. whenever I play a game like BFBC2 or TF2 after a while my performance drops suddenly.. my FPS goes down to 1-5 and stays there for a good 2 full minutes, then it comes back up, and it is an on and off type of thing. So is there a way to get my laptop to run as it used to without these drops?(I have the lastest NVIDIA drivers)

OFFTOPIC: Howcome I can't download the new bios for my system, whenever i click on it to download, it askes me for a username and a password for the FTP.

I would really appriciate if somebody out there can give me an advice on this, I don't want to trash this laptop, now just yet..

    THANK YOU!

Sounds like dust buildup in the heatsink. Try some compressed air.

Your GPU is underclocking to allow it to cool down. Check your temperatures and if they are going above 80-85 your probably going to have to take apart your laptop to clear your GPU vent and possibly apply some new thermal paste (very recommended). Compressed air didn't do anything for me, as after a year there is so much dust clotted by the vent exit area that you need to manually pull it out.
