I've tried out a few drivers for the 9800m gts, but I can't find any that I'm completely happy with. The one that came with the laptop was crap, and while the latest one on Gateway's site performs alright, it makes the card produce a lot of heat. I've also tried the 185.20, which I've found was broken, and the 181.20, which keeps my temps low, but doesn't perform as well as Gateway's drivers. Also, I'm playing a lot of Far Cry 2 recently, and it's supposed to performs better with DX10, but with 181.20, it performs a lot worse. Does anybody have a driver version they really like? I have a P7811-FX, if that makes any difference.
