I just got word that my student loan is coming through, and with that and my scholarships, I will be the proud owner of a P-6860 FX in a few short weeks. It might be longer depending on when Best Buy puts it on sale again, but I will keep my eyes open.

I'm sure I'll eventually upgrade the processor in it just because I will want to keep it for probably the rest of my college career, but I'll just be excited to have it finally after waiting a few months.

It's a good system. I kind of want the desktop for the power, but it's nice being able to take my lappy with me to my girlfriends house and play some Crysis when she is watching Desperate Housewives, or any other show that makes a straight male want to blow his brains out.

Plus, I keep thinking I need a laptop for college. :)

I love this system, I'm just used a desktop. I'm planning on buying two 200GB (atleast) 7200RPM Drives and do raid and a T9300. Maybe a X9000 if I can find one online at a decent price.

Lol thanks guys. Yea I'm probably going to pick up a backpack though rather than a shoulder type bag, so it shouldn't be all that bad. If I can't carry 10lbs on my back I need to go see my chiropractor some more.

Chase, I'll probably end up doing the same thing you said. Both of the things actually. My girlfriend likes lots of TV shows that would make any guy cringe. (Project Runway anyone?) So it will come in handy in ways my Nintendo DS used to and then some lol. Also, I'm not sure if I am willing to dump that much into a new processor or not, we'll see how prices fan out this fall. Maybe just a 9300 for now? Like I said, it all depends on prices.

As far as being used to a desktop, well so am I. I have a 22" widescreen monitor which is going to be weird not using all the time, but I think I'll make it. It's not like I'm selling my desktop, I just need this for the road/campus.
