    Hello all,

Got my P-7805u laptop today with the following specs:

    Intel T9900 3.06GHz CPU
2x500GB 7200RPM Seagate Momentus HD set in Raid-0.
    Screen is 1920x1200.

I read on the forum that there's this optimal Nvidia driver version people use to get max performance out of games. What is it?
Also, what's this CPU volting and GPU overclocking thing? I saw some user with the same specs but they had their CPU volted and GPU OC'ed. Are there guides?

Sorry if I am repeating myself, I used search :\

hey man i ran into the same problem with you when i was new, so i will help you out... here we go...

if you are new to the computer world, i suggest you just leave ur system the way it is...why? because i read somewhere on the board that there is this kid, he try to mess with video BIOS and it bricked his laptop. with that said, i reccomend you go here...

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/gat...te-solution-nvlddmkm-video-crash-p-7805u.html

it will teach you how to UNDERVOLT your GPU which in turn create less heat but still overclockable next go to

    19x Series GeForce Driver Releases - LaptopVideo2Go Forums - Page 3

download 195.39 version of the driver along with INF modified, when you download those two files unzip one of the files and put the INF modify into the unzip folders next you gotta go to your video driver (right click on my computer >properties >device manager> locate your video driver uninstall what you had there and then install it by "update driver"> browse my computer > let me pick from list and locate that unzip folder with the modify INF...

after installation, i would search the board for a program call throttle stop, i use this on my system where i set the multiplier to max and maximum voltage for me is 1.075 (i have a T9600 yours might be different, try 1.0875 or 1.1) this will help cool your CPU down alot.

sorry this guide is kinda ty :) need help just pm me. remember please dont do this if you are not proficient with your laptop.

Do you know if the 6.06 and 260.63 drivers will work on 32bit vista? I know nvidia doesn't list it...
    Thanks

I believe it does, skip the auto update part, it's buggy.

Well, along those same lines...You think its worth it to upgrade a 172xl fx from 32bit vista to 64bit? I see ulimate 64bit sells for like $99 now...

If your thinking that way, go with Windows 7, it is a much better OS, look on Newegg.com for a OEM version..
