Hi everyone. I've been using a 4GB USB stick for ReadyBoost on my P6831, but I really disliked having it hanging so far out of my laptop all of the time. Yesterday while browsing the weekly ads at my mom's house, I came across this 4GB SDHC card on sale at Sears for $19.99. I decided to take one for the team, as they say, and buy this card. Turns out that the reader on the P6831 is capable of reading SDHC cards, and as soon as I slapped this one in the slot, Vista asked if I wanted to use it for ReadyBoost. The best part is it only sticks out about 1/10th of an inch on the side, rather than the 2" by USB stick protruded. In addition, $19.99 for 4GB of SD storage is insane!

Nice. Still, if you need to use readyboost a lot you could also consider just buying some RAM.
I see from you sig you have 3gb RAM. Is that with or without readyboost? If its without then you didn't really need the readyboost.

I have 3GB without ReadyBoost. 99% of the time, I agree, and maybe it was just my imagination, but the other night when I had 3 projects open in Photoshop along with Firefox and Azureus running at the same time, I noticed that the system was a little more "snappy" with the ReadyBoost in than without it, and for $20, I'll take the performance increase, even if it is negligable.
