    I have a P6860FX.

I'm trying to install a second drive but have no screws for the caddy. I would just try matching the screws from the caddy on the original HD but no matter what I try I can't get the original HD out. When i tried to pull on the grey tab to remove the original drive. It just ripped right off in my hand and I can't seem to coax the drive out no matter what I do. Any suggestions as to where I can find these screws and/or get the original drive out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Do you have 4 screws in the first caddy? Use two of them for the added drive. Or use no screws if the drive fits tightly, which I have done on other units.

If Monk is your uncle then neither of these will be acceptable.

I know, it does not answer your question but in case you had not thought of it ...

I had the same problem but luckily my grey tab didnt rip off. There is a white sticky pad beneath the harddisk that is holding the harddisk. I suspect that the pad also deals with heat dissapation.

I removed the harddrive with a big flat screwdriver. You can put that on top of the caddy at about 90 degrees, just where the SATA connects. At the edge the caddy curves upwards a little. Put the screwdriver there and grab it close to the point.
Now pull onto the screwdriver in the diection of the grey tab, like towards yourself.
You probably need to use force, so be careful. Dont get your hand cut.

After that, the grey tab works flawlessly :)

I had to do it the was M3lvn described, but instead of going toward yourself I went away from myself like pushing it out away from you... it just seems much safer.
