I'm not sure with Gateway's P-79xx's there is a bios out there. Even so I think the recovery procedure is similar to what others have posted for the P78xx's in the forum..........

I think it goes like: put a bios.wph on usb-floppy drive and pressing fn+esc while powering on.

But i'm still missing the god damn bios... it's nowhere to be found.

    1. You can find the original bios in here.
    2. Go here to make a Bootable USB (After Step 10 is completed you are done).
    3. Take the original bios (IMV-035.wph), copy it to your USB and rename it "bios.wph" without the quotation marks.
    4. Then copy phlash16.exe and BIOS.bat into your USB.
    5. Reboot and press F10 to bring up the boot menu, choose your USB.
    6. When at prompt (should be > C:\) type in "phlash16" without the quotation marks.
Be careful and follow the instructions precisely, I won't be held responsible for any misfortunes.

EDIT: Strike-through all what I just said.

But that's wrong bios... I need bios with GTX260M bios-module, not with the M9800GTS which p-78xx has...

Oh sorry. I read p-78xx instead of p-79xx.

I would send an e-mail to gateway. They are probably your best chance.
