Guys, Help me out please :(
I have a problem with my P-7811FX, everytime it shows black color the screen always showing a weird scramble (I am not sure if word scramble is the right one to describe it), but when I shows something white color (e.g. my YM, Windows Explorer, etc) it always fine.

    Any idea whats wrong?
Is it my LCD or its my GPU or GPU memory?
Should i try upgrade Video Driver?
Until now I dont dare to do anything, just use it as normal.

I bought this refurbish since October 2009, until now I so far so good unless its LCD.
I use daily monday to saturday, turn on 8am to 4pm and continue around 8pm to 10.30pm or 11pm, sometimes i keep it on for 2 days nonstop.
    This is my workhorse :D

After I blow the GPU exhaust it looks the problem gone..
Maybe it because the dust trap inside cause the GPU work harder? but the temp seems lower from idle 50degC to about 43degC.. hmm.. i hope i solve my problem..

its possible that the connection from the motherboard and screen is just loose. try moving the lid back and forth see if that does anything.

it looks like u have a loose ribbon connection at the back of ur lcd.
simply search on youtube on how to disassemble gateway p-7811fx lcd screen and try try to tape down the flat main flat ribbon or just press on different parts of the screen and figure out how to keep it stable the picture. the lcd screen is easy to take off. most likely there will be some rubber or plastic stickers that cover the screws on the lcd bezel. then u gotta just pry along the edges and they should snap apart. good luck.

to test to see if it is the lcd screen or ur motherboard. try using the hdmi or VGA output to an external monitor. If image is clear and no problems then try what I just said cuz its ur lcd screen connection
