    Hi,
    I've seen that a good number of gateway users have this drive..
    I would like to know the real speeds of it especially CD-R WRITE because on ebay this is reported to be sometimes 8x, other times 12x , also 24x I've seen :confused:

    If you could clarify it I'll be grateful

    If you're thinking about buying one for your Santec, don't. The CT10N is SATA while the Clevo M570RU is PATA/IDE.

    Anyways, Power2Go says my CT10N's max CD-R write speed is 24x :)

    So after reading all that topic I have more confused ideas...
    Is there a CT10N (that of this pdf) wich simply is NOT a BD reader ??! o_O
    there are 2 different firmwares for it WA02 e WR06 and also a CT10L wich have some problems...

    Actually there are 3:
    CT10N x2 BD read speed (discuss in the topic with all the various firmwares)
    CT10L x2 BD read speed w/ light scribe (mostly in HP notebooks)
    CT10N x4.5 BD read speed (the PDF that comes in the ladder part of that thread)
