Right well as the title says I apparently have a hair stuck inside my LCD. P6860FX. I know its a hair cuz just yesterday it was a bit closer to the edge and I thought it was just outside the screen so I swiped at it but it moved towards the center. Now I cant move it at all and its really irritating lol, especially with a lighter background.

So has anyone gotten this and how can I take it out?

Take apart the bezel surrounding the screen... if it is really a problem of course... if not just ignore it.... I have a recent dead pixel that used to me off but I am used to it now haha

Depends where it is. If it has actually got inside the LCD then you will need to disassemble the LCD. I've just done it recently and it was quite tricky. You have to take the screen bezel off, unplug the screen connections, remove the LCD, unscrew the LCD frame, peel back the sticky holders on the top and sides and pop the LCD layers out.

Hmm sounds complicated heh. Well is there possibly a DIY somewhere or something? If its as tricky as you say maybe I'll just leave it I guess

If it's on the outside the bezel is very easy to remove.

Pry the little black sticky tabs off the 6 screws, unscrew the 6 screws, then using a credit card start at the top left or right corners and start to gentle pry off the front bezel. It gets easier as you move round the screen and it'll just pop off.

What sticky tabs are you talking about? These Round/Elongated rubber things around the edge of the screen?

Yes... they are the little round rubber black dots around the edges of the bezel..... and hairs can get caught in any screen whatsoever.... so does dust.... which can be a pain in the ((

Right well I got the bezel off and I proceeded to try and remove the hair, but all I could do was make it move down towards the bottom on the screen but its still there. So im thinking its actually inside the LCD, or maybe theres a protective screen in front of it? If so is it possible to take that out?
