I took mine apart enough to be able to take off the motherboard, would have been a few screws more, shoulda took some pics.

Yeah my original 6860 kicked my butt... oh well though. I haven another and its rocking just as well as my first one did.
I'm even upgrading this one nicely so i can keep it a good long while. So no more disassembly for me (though i would still love to get at the freaking GPU) but my disassembly days are behind me.

Well i do try, but i have learned my lesson...leave disassembly to people 12+ years younger than you.
