Well here it goes. I have a NZXT cryo LX cooler and the ac adapter. When I try to use the Hub it isn't recognized by the left side of USB ports facing the laptop, and the fans don't turn on. Only the right USB port that is by itself recognizes it. Is this normal? I I have tried it with the ac adapter and without and its still the same. So I'm completely lost never happened to me before.

Is it possible the stand-alone USB port is better powered than the other pair? I have seen this on other laptops (ie: Dell) where the standard pair of USB ports won't power an external harddrive, but the dedicated (powered) USB port off to one side will power the HD just fine. That was one of the differences between the old Inspiron 8600 and the Latitude 800. Otherwise they were the same laptop (for the most part).
