I recently bought a new headset. It is USB driven and plug and play. Since I got this new headset, my microphone on ventrillo and teamspeak are both picking up all of my desktop sounds. My old headset didn't do this (plugged into the headphone and mic jack though). I can not access the ventrillo mixer options and can not seem to find anything else on it. Last time I tried to install the sound drivers it destroyed my sound and had to get support to help. Granted my drivers don't say conexant anymore. Should I try reinstalling the sound drivers? Should I try to find generic conexant drivers instead of the gateway ones? I can't seem to fix this problem...especially since sound drivers have been such a nightmare for me. I have the Gateway 7811FX...Also I know its not the mic picking up my headphones because I'm looking at the mic when I play loud music and it doesn't pick that up so it must be a direct line. My sound driver shows up only as "High Definition Audio Device" no conexant or anything like my computer originally had. I have Vista 64 Bit.
