    Heat ??

    Does anyone know the normal operating fan speed temp for 6831? and i'm also getting alot of heat from hard drives. Seems like fans kicked on alot when i first got this machine but rarely kick on now ?? Just trying to prevent a catstrophe !!

    the harddrives in these units get pretty toasty and theres nothing cooling them other then that grill at the bottom which does pretty much nothing at all to help cool them. you could get a can of compressed air if you havent already and blow out the vents where the gpu/cpu are and the grills on the back and the sides of the machine . if the fans are kicking on less then they were when you got it that would mean your machines running cooler not hotter cause they kick in according to the temps of gpu/cpu. just put your hand on the left side and back right and if airs coming out both ends (no pun intended) then your ok . Also grab HWmonitor and keep an eye on your temps and even may want to report them here so people can comment :).
