I attempted to run a bios update on my 7811 and it failed. It seems the windows based bios update program is not compatible with Win 7.

Can anyone send me a copy of the various bios updates in the DOS versions, or a link to these files?

    Thanks,
    Ira

Yes. The error says that the WMD driver is not compatible with Win 7.

The notebook occassionally freezes when going to sleep. I want to try an older bios to see if that fixes the problem. I have tried everything else I can think of.

Have you tried reinstalling Vista on a partition in your HD or either getting a cheap hard drive to install vista on for just this sort of situation?

Also what Win7 are you using? If ultimate you can try to run the flasher in XP
