Guys I dont know much about computers but I bought this laptop and installed World of Warcraft, what nvidia settings plus in game settings/res should I use to play this game? If someone could tell me exactly what to do that would be great.

why didn't you just test out various settings and see if you could max it out?

buying the laptop just for wow would be pretty lame.

its for the eye candy, 9800m gts has one of the best video quality.
    settings: native res/24bit color 8sample, uncheck vsync/ui scale/input lag
all effects max. fps from 70 to max140.

    Thanks ^

And no I didnt buy a notebook just for WoW, I needed a new laptop for work but wanted one that could play games as well. Do I need to do anything on the Nvidia control panel? or just the settings in game?

What's wrong with buying it just for WoW? I bought it just for multi-tasking. Is there any other laptop with 1920x1200 resolution, 17 inch screen, 200GB 7200 RPM or more HD, 4GB of RAM, the same or better processor for less than the cost of this one?

Ok I did this and I am getting fps of 31-65, what do you think is wrong with my system? It is out of the box I havent really done anything to it via drivers or anything, I have no start up programs running?

Update your video drivers; I'm using the 178.13s, others here have their own favorite, but am getting maybe 30+ FPS better than the driver that came on the machine.

Wow max, with some scripted settings to extend the range of sight and detail.

I play TF2, CS:S, crysis, and a few others. But I play wow too. :p
