Guys I dont know much about computers but I bought this laptop and installed World of Warcraft, what nvidia settings plus in game settings/res should I use to play this game? If someone could tell me exactly what to do that would be great.

max.
don't tell me you bought the laptop to play wow. -
If the 7811 can't run WoW at max settings...wow...(no pun).
-
why didn't you just test out various settings and see if you could max it out?
buying the laptop just for wow would be pretty lame. -
its for the eye candy, 9800m gts has one of the best video quality.
settings: native res/24bit color 8sample, uncheck vsync/ui scale/input lag
all effects max. fps from 70 to max140. -
Thanks ^
And no I didnt buy a notebook just for WoW, I needed a new laptop for work but wanted one that could play games as well. Do I need to do anything on the Nvidia control panel? or just the settings in game? -
What's wrong with buying it just for WoW? I bought it just for multi-tasking. Is there any other laptop with 1920x1200 resolution, 17 inch screen, 200GB 7200 RPM or more HD, 4GB of RAM, the same or better processor for less than the cost of this one?

Nvidia control panel: adjust desktop color settings---digital vibrance need to set it to 25%+, personally i set digital vibrance at 50%.
-
Mine is at 80% lol...

Update your video drivers; I'm using the 178.13s, others here have their own favorite, but am getting maybe 30+ FPS better than the driver that came on the machine.

Smart enought to buy a 7811 FX but not smart enough to figure out WoW settings for yourself...A paradox.

like everyone said... install drivers, set WoW to max settings, and enjoy playing with your monster laptop.
-
Wow max, with some scripted settings to extend the range of sight and detail.
I play TF2, CS:S, crysis, and a few others. But I play wow too. -
-
i also set digital vibrance to about 50%. never higher though. it looks friggin ugly if you set it higher. well at least it looks ugly with my monitor.
Help a noob pls, WoW and the p-7811fx
