I'm hopeing someone will be able to help me here. I just purchased a Gateway ML3706 notebook which came with Vista (which I hate). I would like to load XP into this but have no idea which drivers and where I can find them. I've been to Gateway's site as well as talked to a tech and neither can even tell me the manufacturers of the components that are in this notebook, so that I can maybe try and look up the drivers. I've found a few drivers listed on this site and alot of people saying that they got their system working on XP. So if any of you could please let me know which drivers you needed and where you found them that would be great.
    Thank you

What exactly do you hate about Vista? Have you actually given it a chance? I was skeptical of Vista myself at first and planned to uninstall it as well on my new notebook, but after using it a bit I found it better than XP. Now that a few games are being released that make very good use of DX10 (ie Bioshock) Vista is looking even better. Having XP and Vista in a dual-boot mode on my desktop, I went back and tried XP again to see how it compares to Vista. Xp is much slower, especially in multi-tasking.
