Every time I turn it off, it turns back on after about 1-10 seconds of being off. The only way to stop it from turning back on is unplugging it. I press shutdown too. Any help with fixing this problem? It is getting really annoying when I turn it off and come back later to find it still on.

    Please Help!

How are you turning it off?

If you have your power settings messed up you can have the buttons do anything from restart the computer to hibernating/sleep.

You might want to check how you have the settings

sorry for the late reply, my internet stopped working in my house. but my power settings aren't messed up. It is not like it is restarting(turning back on immeadiatly) within about 10 seconds after it is full shutdown, it turns back on.

I turn it off by clicking the start menu, going to the arrow beside the "lock this computer button" and click on shut down.

PS: sorry for the confusing statements in the OP. I clarified it more.

Try this, not saying it will help but maybe.

    Open Control Panel

Click on the System and Maintenance link.

    Click on the System link.

In the task pane on the left, click the Advanced system settings link.

Locate the Startup and Recovery area and click on the Settings button.

In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart.

Click OK in the Startup and Recovery window.

Click OK in the System Properties window.

You can now close the System window.
