I posted this on the general hardware forum but got no replies so I thought I might have better luck here...

Wouldn't you know it but just as I was getting ready to sell my Gateway Solo 1450 to buy a new laptop (HP Zd7000 probably), the A/C plug on the back of the laptop has cracked and is too loose to repair. I need to find out where I can order a new female 12v input that I can solder onto the mobo. I am hoping that this is possible to attain. Today I went to Radio Shack and bought a generic one that I soldered in with wires, but it doesnt work. The radio shack part that I purchased is http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F011%5F003%5F005%5F000&product%5Fid=274%2D1582&hp=search
Maybe I bought the wrong item?

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Travis
