I once saw some link where i could buy much higher rubber feet for P7811-fx or any laptop. Right now the original feet are way too low. Can somebody direct me to those. Much appreciate!

I use these and they work great, pop right off when you don't need them.

they won't stick to the bottom, so you'll have to use those discs, they stick pretty well and don't seem like they will be a problem to remove.

i can't take pics, all i have is the webcam.

Those balls :p ...arent they slippery? And do they add vibration, (not rubber coated) ?
Those Cool Feet are out of stock :(

    I use coolballs too :D

yes they are hard plastic so they can slide easy but the front 2 stock rubber feet keep the laptop firm in place, I only use them in the rear to add a tilt.

If you want something cheap and rubbery, get those big square erasers, its ultra cheap but effective.

The hard plastic on the cool balls is nice actually, it lets me move my laptop around on the desk easy just by picking up the front.

I might try erasers. I hate the 7811 underside design. The HDD vent is the same height as the rubber feet, so it gets plugged up. It might as well not even be there.

Hm. It might as well not be there. Has anyone removed the plastic lid of the HDD bays? Would that cause problems?

if you are careful about dust/dirt and when transporting... it would be better to have the lid off if you want better cooling versus with the cover on. But you also have to make sure the hard drive connector is secure so it does not come loose.

I'll take it off then. Not when moving it around, just when I'm using it at home.

then you will have no problems at all.. plus gravity is on your side because the opening of the hard drive cover is at the bottom.
