Back near the end of October 2006, my friend bought me the Gateway MX6453 at Best Buy. We were not overly impressed with the customer service at BB. Yesterday, I noticed a crack on the left hinge, but I have not taken any action with it. We did not buy the extended warranty. I noticed several posts on this forum about hinge cracks and thought I'd add mine. My friend just bought the same laptop a week or so ago. I hadn't noticed the crack on mine at the time. She hasn't taken hers out of the box.
