As I've stated in my prev posts, I'd like to hook up this laptop my my 768p Projector.

Picture wise, the HDMI would be okay....I can create another profile and set that to 1280X768 so I'd get pixel to pixel match to my PJ.

What about the audio? I don't have a HDMI receiver...My Onkyo only has optical, coax.

How do I route off the audio from the laptop to the receiver?

    Thanks
    Frag

I use the optical out on this for my XP music server. Not sure on Vista drivers as it's running on old HP.

I was under the impression the 6831 has optical out. The manual says nothing about this but listed under the sound control panel... using the headphone jack. Opps, that is SPDIF. This should allow you to run coax.
