    So I bought my laptop about a month ago, and the best buy people wanted to charge me extra to make a recovery cd since this gateway model didnt come with them, Soooo, Is there an easy way to create a recovery disk with vista 64bit sp1?

    You need to go to the Start Menu and go to All Programs. Scroll down to the folder that is labeled Gateway. You should see an item labeled Gateway Recovery Management. There, you will be able to burn your own restore discs.
