Over the years I acquired Four Gateway LT27 Computers. I now have two that are working and they both need the hard drives wiped and a fresh install of the system software. I get errors on both saying that the Hard drives need to be reset to factory default before I can use gateway recovery. F10 does not work. I tried recovery CD and get the same error.

My plan is to use drive scrubber to erase the hard drives but I want to make sure that I have the correct CDs before I remove all the data.

My dilemma is that I only have 2 sets of CD recovery CDs from my original 4 computers but I don't know to which of the 4 LT27 computers that they belong to. Is there any way to look on the CDs and look for a serial number or something that matches it to the correct LT27?

    Thank you.

If you have identical computers and you know that these DVDs are from this particular model that you have, it's OK to use it.
These DVDs are all identical and interchangeable (in regards to the same computer model).
