Before you start taking your computer apart lets look at outside factors first.
How do you use it? Is it on a solid flat surface or on your bed when the vents get blocked off?
What is causing the spikes? a certain game or just by browsing windows and the net?
When was the last time you cleaned it? Remember canned air is your friend a clean notebook is a happy notebook and a cool notebook. You would be surprised how just a little dust can completely screw with a laptops cooling system
Also is your GPU fan working? Make sure your fan is spinning to cool your GPU it might not be working right now -
playing games like PoP, but not games like CSS or Dawn of War. (BTW i upgraded the CPU to a T8300)
I have never cleaned it because i dont know how to
and i hear the fan going, so i think its working properly -

I have no idea what PoP is
But the others i know.
Ok then start with cleaning it out. Get a can of air and blow out the fans. I tend to blow the air in using the bottem vents and blowing it toward the outside. (though different people will tell you different ways... theres no real right way)
You can take the bottom cover plates off as well to get better access to the insides.
That will probably take care of your problem fight there. If not you "can" take the laptop appart to get to the GPU, but you have to disassemble the entire thing.
Try some canned air first and then post back -

After trying the above meathods, if they dont work, you may want to underclock it, or get a notebook cooler.

Both, if you havent cleaned it out ever then its about time for it to get a spring cleaning. Just start with the right side vent and then go to the left side one. Take off the large middle cover if you feel like you need to get deeper into the machine, but usually you dont have to

Alright, thanks so much, i cleaned it out, and now during those high quality graphic games, it remains at a nice cool 48C

Thats great to hear.
Laptops more so then desktops require a bit of cleaning for them to stay working properly.
Just remember to clean it out every few months and you should be able to stay gaming on it until your ready for an upgrade
How do u get to the GFX card?
