Hi, I finally brought my MX7515 to BestBuy for hinge repair, it also was starting to flicker (all related).
I went back for my laptop after 2 weeks (was leaving country for 2 weeks) and it was ready...brand new lid and no cracks visible.

My question now is how much is this going to last? The "original" hinges lasted about 8 months...I am not expecting it would be longer than that though.

Maybe a poll would help us check how good (or bad) this fix is....

Another thing, besides changing the lid they also changed my DVD-RW drive for a NEW one  . Old one was an HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GCA-4080N and new one is a Toshiba-Samsung (TSST) TS-L532U ....is this one better than the original?? (specs are the same) Did this happen to anyopne else?

    Thanks Guys!!

After they fixed the hinges, they lasted for only a month.
