Hi there.
I have some software that absolutely refuses to run in Vista/64bit. I have an old 32bit XP CD that I can use to install as a dual boot option for P-7805u.
I read through some guides online and found out that I need to make partitions etc.
After I install a dual boot system, will I have to install all the drivers for the system in the second OS as well?
How would I install the drivers?
I thank you in advance for your help.

You need to make the partition for the XP OS. Then, once you get XP installed on that partition, you'll need to install the drivers that XP needs to run all of the hardware. There is a thread in this forum that details everything you need, with links to the files. Download all the files and burn them to a CD, then when you install XP, you'll have everything in one place, ready to go.

You will need the sata drivers for xp, without them it won't be able to detect the hard drive. I'm pretty sure they can be found in the same thread that has ALL the drivers. Instructions are in that thread as well.
You'll need VistaBootPro to configure the bootloader since you have Vista installed first. You can download it from softpedia and find several tutorials online. One is here: http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_...talled_first__the_stepbystep_guide.htm?page=1
Shrink your vista partition
Create a new partition for XP
Install XP on the new partition you created
Install drivers in XP
Download VistaBootPro on XP http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/VistaBootPRO.shtml
Configure it to get back into Vista
Then configure it from Vista so you can Dual-Boot
