    The notebook is Gateway 450ROG , its the touchpad cable and looks fragile .

    It appears to be the type of connector where the cable literally pulls straight out of the connector. Usually there is some type of release mechanism. But it could just be a friction fit. I've seen these used only in smaller versions on some of the newer Gas monitors I work on.
