Circut City has this computer on sale but I can't find any information about it online anywhere. Is a Gateway MX6027
here is the link to in on the circut city site

I was looking at the dell I6000 but then I saw this. It looked very nice. and was cheaper than the dell. I have the impression that the Dell I6000 would be more reliable although that isnt based on anything. Are gateway computers good and reliable? What are your thoughts on this computer at circut city? I know its a bottom of the line processor and thats ok due to my price constraints.
Thanks

Gateway makes a pretty nice system, you are still talking about a base system with those stats, and i would recommend 512 ram but that can always be upgraded later. I work at best buy... we have a very similar model on sale with instant rebates, no mail in for like 579 heres a link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...t&productCategoryId=cat01174&id=1124432398747
Sold out online already but sale jsut started Sunday so hit up your local BB if you want one each store has a good stock. For internet, basic office stuff, not a bad machine, thats about it tho.
P.S. with gateway you also get that glossy briteview screen unlike a standard tft of most base dells -
How about this:

You can customize it at the in-store kiosk. Looks like around $475 with shipping and tax. I'd recommend the 5400RPM hard drive and 12 cell battery for upgrades. Good Luck. -
nice dead link... yeh man if you arent sure just post us everything you will use the laptop for
I can't find a certain model from circut city online anywhere.
