    I have A Sound ?

    i got a m680 gateway
    when it boots up its shows the gateway centrino boot
    then i hear like a sound that sound sharp but goes away when it start loading windows
    can somebody explain what is it?

    It it like a loud chirp or something? It might jsut bee the system starting the sound drivers and speakers. If it's offensive you should try re-installing the sound drivers and it that doesn't work, have Gateway repair it.

    Yea its like a chirp when it boots up. my other gateway had it too. i guess its normal lol

    Lots of computers have a system beep. My 8510GZ(basically a low-end M680) does not...however, I have system beep disabled in Windows...so if the beep occurs when Windows is starting to load, perhaps that is what is causing it?
