Hi! I have a Gateway M-1634u laptop and a new LG Superslim 50" flat screen tv. When I connect them together to watch a movie or Youtube via HDMI everything works fine, untill I try to play the sound through the tv! That's when everything starts to play fast forward untill I disconnect the HDMI. Even the sound goes fast! It doesn't act like that with any of our other tv's! Any ideas will help! Thanks

PS. My sister also has a LG flat screen (different model) and my laptop does the same when connected to her tv!

Not to ask a stupid question, but:

did you use the SAME hdmi cable on these different TVs? I've found that HDMI cables are either working - or broken in some way.

Hi Shrine, thanks for replying! To answer your question, I used different HDMI cables on the TV. I have 3 HDMI cables and my computer acts the same way when connected to either my LG TV or my sisters! (It doesnt happen with any other tv I've tryed.) Please help!

Did you configure your sound to go through the HDMI? Many laptops make you go through the settings to set this up.

Hey guys! Yes I always go to Control Panel and set the HDMI, so that the sound can come through the TV. In fact, thats when everything starts to go fast! If I set the sound to play through the computer everything gets back to normal! Plus is not a damage HDMI wire as I thought at first, since it does it with any HDMI wire!
