I tried using ONE_J's undervolting file and followed the procedures with the exception of getting a nvflash that worked in vista command prompt. Whenever I try to run a game, the game freezes early on and my display driver becomes unresponsive but recovers repeatedly. I'm on windows vista 64 bit, using nvidia drivers 266.58. My gpu is the 9800M GTS. For anyone who has gotten undervolting to fix heat issues, what driver version do you have and are you using nvidia or other drivers?

Nobody has feedback on the driver versions you guys used when this worked?

The One_J volt mod helps with some games that don't require the full load of the GPU, but games like MW2 and Dead Island need the full 1.12v to operate without crashing. It's a pity considering how much more fluid the gameplay was with the volt mod. Unfortunately the volt mod is useless unless someone can make it work with GPU intensive games. I am currently running the volt mod but have the extra clock set to 1.12v so gpu intensive games will work properly.
I tried undervolting my 7805u, but ran into issues...
