    Hi,
I was going to get a P79xx MB and Q9200 but PayPal has apparently alot of issues. I get error 10417 when trying to pay. It seems alot of people are getting this as of late. I called my bank and the card is fine and way more than enough money.

Apparently they are attempting to put it through as a ATM transaction and since they do not have my 4 digit pin it will not go. They only have the 3 digit CCA so it needs to be put through by them as a credit card transaction not debit.

Just a heads up, there are alot of banks that will not ATM transact off the CCA. So I guess it is up to someone else to try a quad in one of these mainboards............

Wow that was cheap. Just got off a chat with fleabay, they were denying knowing there even is a payment issue till I forced their hand then all of a sudden "I am sure we are looking into this for our members". I have no issue dropping the $700 or so to try this out but I have always hated paypal to begin with, fleabay needs a new payment vendor.............

Well I just finished the orders. PayPal just refused to work without my checking account. This is a total rip off, I hate giving them that info. The Q9200 wouldn't take a card payment but only e-check too. after all this fleabay and paypal are done! I would have canceled the order but I hate not going threw with something I start.

so it will be a bit but hopefully so to have a P7905-u with a Q9200 and then sell the 7805 board and x9100....... :)

Edit, just for HaHa's I want to try the q9200 in the original board.............

It should be nice! I wish I had the money to upgrade to a Quad. The p-7928u motherboard i got works like a dream, and it stays incredibly cool. Highest temp under load has been from the GPU at about 75C playing Starcraft 2 :D

is that overclocked or stock speeds with the GPU at 75c? I believe the 260m will run most things at stock that my 9800m runs overclocked now. The 260m is a slightly overclocked 9800m GTX where we now havwe a 9800m GTS.

I was going to build a actual desktop but the power requirements of anything I'd build is unbelievable. A 2600k and 580GTX would want a 650 watt ATX power supply not including another 100 or so watts for a monitor. Since I run just about 24 hours a day that will be a huge difference in the power bill.

Not that I can't afford it, I can, but I am also trying to be somewhat green............

Yeah the 75c is stock with ICD7 applied. I don't quite understand the whole overclocking process, nor have I had the time to do the research lately to figure it out.

My main concern with overclocking is the additional heat. The previous motherboard had a lot of damage from overheating, so I've been rather adamant about keeping it cool.

Same CPU from the 7811 MB. I believe it's a p8700, but I might be wrong. It's a dual core at 2.26 GHz. Everything is stock, no overclock. Highest temp I've seen the CPU hit is like 55c under load.

I want to upgrade the CPU to a quad core now that I know my new MB can handle them. Unfortunately I don't have the money :(

That always sems to be the case, at least for me. Now that I've retired things are different. I have money to spend now.

Wierd though went years thinking I had to save and never spend. Now that I''m on the other side of spending rather than saving I stil hate to spend. I was looking at buildign a $4,500.00 desktop but instead about $700 here to stay that build for a year or two...........
