What video drivers are you using?

The resolution can be changed easily...

    Ask Best Buy

You paid $400 more than I did

Get external speakers if you want something much louder

I thought youtube music was illegal now?

    1.) Did you mean P7805-u?
2.) I guess 1600 because of tax and getting the extended warenty?
3.) Also what is the native LCD resolution?

    1. Go to start menu > right click computer > properties > device manager > click the + by display adapters > right-click on your video card > properties > "Driver" tab > See Driver Version.

    2. Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply. When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it won't support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor reverts back to the original resolution. I prefer 1280x800, things are a bit bigger and easier to see.

    3. Newegg had a sale for 6 days and I jumped on it and bought my P7801u (Same as P7805u but with guaranteed 1920x1200 screen).

    4. Even cheap little pc speakers are only like $25-$50

    5. Yea some is still legal, I think the new stuff is being "silenced" by youtube though

1.) The 1920's are a rare find, sorry you got the lower res but not sorry enough to trade for my 1920............

2.) The DOX optimized 185.20's work great here.

3.) Sound, albeit still not great...

a.) right click the speaker (Volume Control) and open playback devices.
b.) select speakers and click properties.
c.) in speaker properties select the enhancements tab and check off bass boost and loudness equalization.
d.) highlight bass boost and select settings.
e.) set the bass boost to 12db and frequency to 250 HZ.

Click apply and ok as needed. You may want to play with the roll over frequency but this will start you off.........

EDIT, this should apply to all P78xx-u's with the sound enhancements...........

Well you might have some driver issues cause i just poped in TW2 to test see if i have any problems and i dont. Installs fines, loads, runs fine even at 1440. You should try to format everything do a clean install of vista and run from there after installing all your new drivers. The lower resolution is better to game at more so then the 1900. Ive got computers with both and the lower one is a just a bit better imo.

    All games, Gindis90?

Right out of the box you shouldn't have a problem with everything.

    Just wondering.

    gindis90,

Medieval ii-total war-kingdoms plays great on the 7805u with dox drivers. I set the graphics at 1900x1200. There is a patch to 1.3 version.
