I'm having issues with my sound drivers on my 6831

My sound drivers have been good until the past week. I cannot seem to get my microphone work at all, other then it is working fine. I have tried finding the audio console so I can make the microphone work, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere.

I to uninstall the IDT driver from my computer, but it doesn't want to remove itself (no idea why). I'm having to use the oldest sound driver set too, it doesn't seem that the gateway download servers are working good right now. If anyone knows where I could get the latest one I would love that.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Try uninstalling your old driver in safe mode, reboot into safe mode and install a new driver again.
