I was thinking about purchasing an express card for my 6860FX... but I wanted to get confirmation wether or not it contains an IR reciever...

Its actually an HP remote: HP 623AA

Also any update from anybody with any success with Intel Turbo Memory? (I know that anyone who has 4gb of ram does not really need it, but id like to test it myself)

    Welcome to the forums.

If you are trying to use an HP on a Gateway machine it will not work, every company uses a different system for their remotes (so you can't buy a competitors model). If you want an express card remote you will need to contact Gateway about getting one, and it will depend on whether actually making one and your notebook having an IR receiver.

If you want can't get an express card remote you could always get a MS MCE remote, although it isn't very portable (big receiver).

The system won't see the Turbo Memory Controller, I've tried. Gateway has it shut off.

I haven't heard of anyone getting it to work on a Gateway.

I've contacted Gateway, Microsoft, and Intel, and each one told me to get in touch w/one of the others. So I can't get an answer from anyone.
