Im chatting on steam+updating TF2 and for some reason my temps are at 43 and it slowly climbs to 47 then goes back down, any ideas why? I just got this thing fixed with a new motherboard.

just boosted to 57 again. It happens when the fans do that quick 2 second loud noise, this is a 7805 btw.

It's probably just some background programs doing something every once in a while. Unless it starts to become catastrophic, I don't think there's much to worry about.

But, if someone knows more about this than I do, go right ahead and prove me wrong.

I just got my 7805u back from the repair center(the motherboard was replaced) and have noticed that in Idle I get 43C and it slowly goes up to 49 then goes back down and when the fan does that 2 second speed up thing the temps go 56-57. I also got 75C at one point in tf2 according to HWmonitor(it said 75C under the max tab). Are my temps ok? Why are there these temp spikes?

Depending on your graphics card, not at all.

I'd say their fine. (We're talking about GPU temps right?) Mine idles at 42-49c and maxes at 70 and under, (Its only gone over 70 once, it went to 72C after 2hours of Crysis) But I've been using it in 60F weather. So of course its going to run cool. What is your room temperature and what surface are you using the laptop on?

Thats excellent and also steam is known as a resource hog. Gpu temps usually fluctuate.
